Overall Objective
The overall objective of this consultancy is to define a coherent and comprehensive strategy to accelerate the availability and optimal use of radio spectrum for high-speed wireless networks in Burkina Faso.
Specific Objectives and Key Tasks
- Access Band Identification: Identify optimal frequency bands for high-speed wireless Internet services for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), considering the availability of affordable equipment.
- Reorganization Plan: Propose a channelization and reorganization plan for specific frequency bands (2.3 GHz, 2.6 GHz, and 3.5 GHz) to maximize efficiency.
- 5G Introduction Strategy: Develop a strategy for introducing 5G networks in priority frequency bands (700 MHz, 3.5 GHz) and other relevant bands, to facilitate the emergence of innovative technologies and services.
- Frequency Band Assessment: Evaluate the opportunities and potential use of all frequency bands between 0.4 and 20 GHz for mobile networks and fixed wireless access (FWA) networks.
