Description of Services Provided
The main objective of this mission was to analyze the opportunities and challenges related to the introduction of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in Benin and to establish an appropriate regulatory, technical, and economic framework for their deployment.
Specific Services Provided:

Prospective Analysis: Conducting a comprehensive foresight analysis on the introduction and potential of IoT in the Republic of Benin.

Regulatory Proposal: Proposing an appropriate and comprehensive regulatory framework to govern IoT service provision in the Republic of Benin.

Spectrum and Frequencies: Identification of national frequency bands capable of efficiently hosting IoT services.

Specifications and Licenses: Development of a model specification document and identification of the optimal number of licenses to be issued for providing IoT services.

Economic Assessment: Producing a detailed assessment of fees and charges likely to apply to the provision of this service in Benin.

Report and Knowledge Transfer: Presentation of the final mission report and provision/execution of dedicated training for ARCEP staff.
