Project Description & Objectives

The main objective of this study is to develop a national strategy enabling Côte d'Ivoire to maximize the opportunities offered by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). This strategy provides a structured framework to drive innovation, strengthen national competitiveness, and support the country’s socio-economic development.

Strategic Areas:

• Assessment of the technological landscape: Analyze the current state of AI, blockchain, and IoT in Côte d'Ivoire, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Definition of national priorities: Identify key sectors where emerging technologies can make a significant contribution to the country’s economic and social development.
• Development of a roadmap: Build a concrete action plan for strategy implementation, with clear objectives, precise timelines, and measurable performance indicators.
• Capacity building: Identify skill and training needs and implement capacity–development programs for government staff, the private sector, and civil society.
• Promotion of collaboration: Encourage collaboration among key stakeholders from the public, private, and academic sectors to foster innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies.
• Establishment of a legal and regulatory framework: Develop an adapted legal and regulatory framework to ensure responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies.
