The mission aimed to establish a robust governance and technical framework for cybersecurity in Burkina Faso. The objective was to define the foundational documents required by the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) to fulfil its mandate, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructures and national data.
Key Deliverables and Activities:
- 1. National Cybersecurity Strategy: Development of a strategic document defining national orientations, objectives, and priorities in cyber defence and cyber resilience, supported by a detailed operational action plan.
- 2. National General Security Framework (RGS): Design of a set of rules and technical standards applicable to public administrations, aimed at harmonizing and strengthening the security level of the State's information systems.
- 3. Strategic Development Plan for ANSSI: Development of a roadmap for the institutional and operational strengthening of the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI).
- 4. Specialized Training: Proposal and implementation of a targeted training program designed to strengthen the technical and organizational skills of ANSSI staff and relevant entities.
This study laid the essential regulatory and operational foundations for protecting Burkina Faso's national digital assets.
