Description & Objectives of the National Strategy
The mission aimed to provide Mali with a comprehensive national cybersecurity strategy, accompanied by its operational action plan, to structure the national response to cyber threats, secure critical infrastructures, and promote safe ICT usage among citizens.
Specific Objectives:
- Coherent Action Framework: Provide an inclusive, coherent, and predictable framework for cybersecurity actions.
- Vision and ICT Evolution: Define major orientations that consider the rapid evolution of ICT and digital uses.
- Protection of Critical Infrastructures: Define actions to prevent cyberattacks, reduce the vulnerability of national infrastructures, and strengthen resilience.
- Legal Alignment: Provide an adequate legal framework required for the effective operationalization of the national strategy.
- Operational & Budget Plan: Provide clearly identified, planned, and budgeted actions and projects, along with a resource mobilization plan.
- Citizen Cybersecurity Awareness: Educate and sensitize citizens for safe and responsible ICT usage.
