Specific Mission Objectives

The mission aims to provide ARTCI with insights on how to integrate and regulate emerging technologies (5G, AI, Metaverse) to ensure a harmonious and responsible development of Côte d'Ivoire's digital economy.

Main Work Areas:

• Socio-economic Impact: Assess the socio-economic impact of 5G, the Metaverse, and artificial intelligence on Ivorian society.
• SWOT Analysis: Examine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the national environment regarding the challenges posed by these technologies.
• Regulatory Challenges: Identify and examine the specific issues and challenges related to regulating 5G, AI, and the Metaverse, including governance, accountability, privacy, security, legal rights, and ethics.
• Best Practices: Identify international regulatory models to maximize the benefits of these technologies while minimizing risks.
• Regulatory Roadmap: Propose a concrete roadmap to guide policies, standards, and practices to encourage responsible adoption and beneficial use of 5G, AI, and the Metaverse.
